Mexico dates back to 800 BC. Mexico is the sixth most visited country in the world. The most visited attractions in Mexico are the ruins, beach resorts, festivals, pueblo magicos, and nature reserves. Due to Mexico’s wide range temperatures, it makes this country a top choice for many travelers. Mexico is derived from Nahuatl word, Mēxihco, it means the heartland of the Aztec Empire. Mexico has an estimated population of over 129 million people. Even though Spanish is a highly used language in Mexico, there are 364 varieties of indigenous languages spoken in the country. Mexico is considered the Cosmic Race (La Raza Cosmica) due to its racial diversity. Food? Mexico was recognized as the Intangible cultural heritage by UNESCO due to the country’s gastronomy.

Language: Spanish is not the official language of Mexico, but for legislative purposes it is. The law of Linguistic Rights establishes Spanish as a national language, along with 63 indigenous languages.  Spanish is widely spoken in Mexico.

Entry: Passport. Visa is valid up to 180 days. Keep mindful of directions, walk like a local, and find out the nearest Police Station. Group tours is the best option for safety concern. 

ATM & CREDIT CARDS: You can use most major credit cards in Mexico. Make sure your use the Atms inside Bank branches. Do not use credit cards at Gas stations due to phony scams. Use a  money converter to understand the currency exchange. 

Tipping in Mexico: If you see “Propina” on your bill means the gratuity was added. If not, under 10% is reasonable depending of the party size and location.
